Hi hooman, friends! it’s me, Snickerdoodle, your Chief Wellness Officer. WOW do I have something to share with you this week.

Instead of writing to you on Friday like usual, I was off on a grand adventure to see fields and fields and FIELDS of tulips. I’m talking about colors as far as my floofy eyes could see. Reds, yellows, pinks and purples. I even got to take my photo with them (I’m pretty sure I nailed it).

At first, I didn’t know where to look. There was so much beauty, so many smells, so many moments happening all at once. I wanted to run everywhere, sniff everything, and take it all in at the same time (classic me, right?).

But then I noticed the hoomans weren’t rushing. They were walking slower and smiling more. I saw them pausing and taking pictures. The were laughing together and, well, just, being.

As I watched, I thought to myself (yes, I have very deep thoughts between naps), this is what it means to make every day matter.

Not because it was a “special event” or perfectly planned. But because they chose to be in it.

Sometimes, I think you hoomans wait for the “big days” to matter. Like celebrations, milestones, or big wins.

But from what I’ve observed (I’m always watching you), the days that matter most are the ones where you slow down enough to notice what’s around you. Or stay curious about what (and who) is right in front of you.

You actually let yourself feel joy, even in the smallest moments. Maybe even stop to smell the tulips (tail wag and wink.)

Here’s the thing, every day has something in it worth noticing. Or someone in it worth connecting with. Every day has a moment that could become meaningful if you let it.

You don’t need a festival to do that. You just need a little intention.

So this week, I challenge you (in the most loving, tail-wagging way possible) to make every day matter. Not by doing more, but by noticing more.

Because from where I stand (usually near the back door), the best days aren’t the busiest ones. They’re the ones you actually experience.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some very important work to do like dreaming about tulips and planning my next adventure.

With joy, curiosity, and a nose full of flowers,

Snickerdoodle
