Snickerdoodle Says: Live Your Best Life

Last week, I traded spreadsheets for sandy paws and meeting reminders for ocean breezes and forest floors. We loaded up the van and headed off on another adventure.

I chased smells through the forest. I watched the waves roll in. I dug in the sand. I met new people. I napped whenever I felt like it (𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥, 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺.)

The funny thing is, I wasn’t trying to be productive. I wasn’t really trying to accomplish anything. I was simply being 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Every stick was worth investigating. Every trail held a new discovery. And don’t get me started on the beach walks. Each one was just the best.

Sometimes my hoomans talk about “𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲” as if it’s something waiting for them somewhere in the future. But from what I’ve observed, the best moments usually happen when you’re paying attention to the 𝗼𝗻𝗲 you’re already in.

The smell of the ocean and the shade of the trees. A good laugh or a quiet conversation. Maybe it’s a sunset that makes you stop scrolling long enough to notice it.

You don’t have to quit your job, buy a van, or move to the beach to 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. Sometimes you just need to step away from the noise long enough to remember what it feels like to be 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁.

This week, I hope you find a little time to explore, recharge, and enjoy whatever adventure is right in front of you.

Trust me. The marmots will still be there when you get back.

Paws and Reflection,
