Hi hooman friends,
It’s me, Snickerdoodle, your Chief Wellness Officer, professional napper, and gentle reminder that you don’t need a New Year, New You.
You’re already pretty great.
This time of year, hoomans talk a lot about resolutions. Big lists. Big pressure. Big “shoulds.”
But from where I sit (usually right next to you, hoping you’ll drop a snack), the New Year doesn’t need fixing, it just needs intention.
What if this year isn’t about changing who you are… it’s about being a better version of who you already are?
A little kinder to yourself. A little prouder of how far you’ve come. A little more present with the people who matter most.
Here’s a Snickerdoodle secret:
I don’t wake up each morning trying to be a different dog. I just try to be a good one.
I show up. I stay loyal. I offer comfort when it’s needed. I celebrate the hoomans I love… every single day.
Hoomans, you can do that too. This year, instead of asking “What should I change?” Try asking:
· What would make me proud of me?
· How can I be supportive—to myself and others?
· Who do I want to show up for, fully and intentionally?
Growth doesn’t have to be loud. Progress doesn’t need a checklist. And becoming better doesn’t mean becoming someone else.
Sometimes it just means:
· Choosing positivity when it’s easier to complain
· Encouraging someone who’s struggling
· Protecting your energy for what (and who) truly matters
· Giving yourself grace on the messy days
So, as this New Year begins, let’s skip the pressure and keep the purpose.
Be proud of you. Be kind to you. Be present for the people who love you.
And if you forget any of this, don’t worry. I’ll be right here, reminding you with a wag, a nudge, and maybe a request for treats.
Happy New Year, hooman friends. Let’s make it meaningful… together.
With love and tail wags,
Snickerdoodle
Chief Wellness Officer
