Hi hooman friends, it’s me Snickerdoodle, your Chief Wellness Officer, and expert in all things connection!

This week, I’ve been thinking extra hard (yes, even harder than when I try to locate the exact cupboard where the treats live):

𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱.

Now, as a dog, this is easy for me to understand. Sharing life means:

  • Following my hooman everywhere… even to the bathroom.

  • Snuggling close during Zoom calls.

  • Bringing my toy to anyone who looks even remotely stressed.

  • Sitting by the door so I don’t miss a single greeting opportunity.

To me, sharing is instinctual. It’s how I show love, loyalty, and connection.

A wag, a nudge, a look, a nap strategically placed on your feet, his is how we dogs say, “𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦. 𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.” For us dogs, sharing life is simple.

We show up. We stay close. We offer companionship without needing the perfect words. We connect through presence, not perfection.

I

t’s not fancy, just genuine.

For you hoomans, sharing life, and leadership, is a little more complex but just as important.

I watch it every day in our office:

  • A warm greeting that makes someone exhale.

  • A curious question that says, “I care what you think.”

  • A pause that creates space for clarity.

  • A moment of grace given when someone is trying their best.

  • A shared laugh that lightens the load of the week.

This is leadership that doesn’t rely on a title. It relies on 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Because when life (and work) is shared (really shared) teams feel safer, stronger, and more willing to collaborate boldly.

Dogs and hoomans aren’t so different. We both thrive when connection is present. For dogs, sharing life builds trust, comfort, and belonging. For hoomans, sharing life builds understanding, clarity, and meaningful relationships. The kind of foundation that makes great leadership possible.

When you let others into your world, your ideas, your questions, your wins, your “I’m trying my best” moments, you create a space where people can do the same.

That’s when teams grow. That’s when people flourish. That’s when work feels like purpose, not pressure.

So, this weekend, from one wise pup to all you brilliant hoomans:

Share something: a smile, a moment, a conversation, a bit of grace, or a laugh that lightens the day.

Because life, just like treats and belly rubs, is better when you don’t try to keep it all to yourself.

Happy Friday, my friends.

May your tail (or heart) find something joyful to wag about today,

𝗦𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲
